Admission decisions happen three times per year, usually December, July and September. You can contact the Program Committee for further information.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Physics, Mathematics or any related discipline. Conditional admission to the graduate program can be granted to students who have not completed all undergraduate program graduation requirements but are close to graduation.

Before submitting an application, applicants are required to contact a faculty member to discuss potential topics for their thesis.

Applications are submitted online for all graduate programs of the Technical University of Crete. In order to apply:

  1. Visit the online graduate application platform.
  2. Register for an account and login with your new credentials.
  3. From the list of graduate programs of the university, scroll down to School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Postgraduate Studies) and select "Research MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering" (which will be available a month before the next deadline).
  4. Submit all the required documents, as listed below.

Required documents for application

  1. A copy of your university degree or diploma. If you do not yet have your degree or diploma, but you expect to obtain it soon, you can still apply and mention your expected graduation date in your application. In this case, you could be conditionally admitted pending submission of a copy of your degree or diploma.
  2. Copies of recognized graduate degrees (if applicable).
  3. Certified transcripts for undergraduate studies and (if applicable) graduate studies.
  4. A copy of a certificate confirming good or excellent knowledge of the English language (at least B2 level, preferably higher).
  5. Curriculum vitae.
  6. A summary of your thesis/dissertation (if a thesis or dissertation has been completed), a brief statement of your scientific and professional interests, and a statement of the reasons you are interested in pursuing graduate / PhD studies.
  7. Copies of scientific publications and awards (if applicable)
  8. At least three letters of recommendation, at least two of which must be obtained from teaching staff in the department awarding existing degree(s). Applicants are advised to contact their respective referees well in advance and must provide their contact details. Upon submission of the application, the referees will receive an email with instructions to upload their recommendation letters to the online application system.
