Best paper award at the 38th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications (AINA-2024) for the paper "DeFog: Adaptive Microservice Scheduling on Kubernetes Clusters in Cloud-Fog-Edge Infrastructures" with authors the ECE graduate Athanasios Prountzos and ECE professor Euripides Petrakis. The conference was held in Kitakyushu, Japan, from 17 April to 19 April 2024.
The paper was accepted after a full article review. The AINA conference is an international IT conference with over 900 submitted papers per year and an acceptance rate of 25%. It is classified (based on international evaluation systems) in category A2, i.e. among the best conferences internationally.
At the same time, Prof. Evripidis Petrakis received a prestigious mention for his many years of contribution as General Co-Chair of the conference.
