ECE Professor Minos Garofalakis was awarded the «Best Paper Award» at the «50th International Conference on Very Large Databases (VLDB 2024)» for his publication titled «OmniSketch: Efficient Multi-Dimensional High-Velocity Stream Analytics with Arbitrary Predicates». The conference took place in Guangzhou, China from August 26 to Αυγούστου 20, 2024.
The publication was accepted after a full article review. The VLDB conference is a top and extremely competitive CS conference at the area of Data Management, where having a paper accepted is considered a significant accomplishment, let alone receiving a best paper award.
