Title
Designing Intelligent Gigabit Mobile Edge
Abstract
Intelligent mobile edge can bring a whole new spectrum of applications and services in the IoT world. However, our experience in evaluating mobile systems in the wild has shown that the deployed legacy architectures cannot accommodate disruptive applications such VR/AR or autonomous cars. Next generation applications require novel connectivity and security paradigms, new system architectures, edge network management and analytics. In this talk, Yiannis will give an overview of his work on designing, implementing and deploying mobile systems for next generation applications, used by millions of users worldwide.
About the speaker
Yiannis Pefkianakis is currently a Wireless Architect at Apple, Cupertino CA. Before Apple, Yiannis was a research scientist at HP Labs in Palo Alto CA, and Technicolor Labs, in Paris.
